Jammed screen door repair

Checking and Cleaning

The best thing to do when your sliding screen door is jammed is to check several things to find the problem.  First you want to make sure your tracks and channels are cleaned and oiled properly.  For cleaning we recommend using a hose to hose off the dirt and little rock from the tracks, you don’t have to take the patio screen off to do this, just wash away dirt and let it dry.

lubricating

For lubrication on the track we recommend once tracks are cleaned and dry, spray some wd40 on bottom and top channel and on wheels as well for best results.  Then it’s time for roller adjustment and you will need a screw driver.  turning clockwise the door will lift the frame off the track and set it free to slide properly.  If you decide you would like some help doing this please give me a call and I’ll make sure you have a perfect screen before I leave.  My areas are! Thousand Oaks, Lynn Ranch, Westlake Village, Oak Park, Agoura Hills, Lake Shearwood, Newbury Park, Camarillo, Conejo Valley, Moorpark, Happy Camp, Santa Rosa, Pleasant Valley, Simi Valley, Woodranch, Woodland Hills, Westhills, Oxnard, Ventura and Calabasas.
