Installing pet screen on a screen door

Everyone gets tires of rescreening the patio screen door time after time. Pets’ kid’s, cat’s, they don’t seem to see it till they go right though it.  The solution is here and it’s called pet screen.  Installing this pet proof magical savior screen is very hard if you want it done right. Im going to give you a few basic steps and tis on rescreening you porch door.

Tools Needed

  1. screen spline roller
  2. box cutter blade
  3. screw driver flat

Sometimes you will notice that you have screen around your home that the actual screen mesh is coming out, in this case it can be a couple of problems going on with them.  If the actual frames are still good then the can be repaired.  You will need to look and see if you have loose spline, this is the black rubber that holds the mesh in place.  Make sure it’s tight.

I do all types of window screen repair and replacement in Calabasas and screen door mobile repairs as well. The way you can tell if the right spline is being used is to pull gently on it, if it comes out easily them the problem is that the spline that is being used is to thin and the frames will need to be rescreened and a thicker rubber spline will need to be used.  My areas are!
