Oak Park Window Screen Repair

Today we did a screen repair job where all the clients window screen frames were in very good shape except the fiberglass screen mesh material.  The insect screen mesh was old and turned brittle and began to rip and fall to pieces.  If frame sare in good condition then we can rescreen them and you will save on some money.

When we take the old mesh of the frames we make sure the frames are as straight a possible for being old, then we rescreen them with new mesh and put two tabs per screen for easy installation and taking them out.  Additionally we carry all the spline sizes for the best and tightest fit possible.  Once we finish you won’t even notice the frames are old, they will all look like new.

Window Screen Replacement in Thousand oaks

We do a lot of window screen replacement in Thousand Oaks, patio screen door replacement, sliding patio screen door replacement and custom window screen replacement because we are mobile and do all the screen repairs onsite.  We bring our mini shop to you for your convenience.  When working on window screens it’s not that easy because measuring is tricky, We have been doing it for years and screen work is all we do.

I worked on a window screen replacement in Thousand Oaks today.  The screens I did needed some care and that’s what we do, mobile screen repair.  The client showed me the missing screens and the frames that were bent, so I measured and made new frames and screens on the spot.  In about 1 hour I was out of there and the client was already referring me to her neighbors.

When a window screen starts to give problems, it might be time for a repair call. If a screen is missing it’s black rubber tabs, you will have problems taking them in and out.  When the tabs are gone you will tend to grab the frame and this will warp the screen and you will not be able to fit it in properly anymore.

Never remove a screen by grabbing the frame in the center, because it’s the area most easily bent. Always use the tabs for screen removal.   When tabs are missing it’s probably because the got brittle after 7 to 12 years and they came off.  When you rescreen your frames you should get new tabs included with the job.  For further question regarding screen repair, please call me first, I’ll be happy to help.
