When a window screen starts to give problems, it might be time for a repair call. If a screen is missing it’s black rubber tabs, you will have problems taking them in and out. When the tabs are gone you will tend to grab the frame and this will warp the screen and you will not be able to fit it in properly anymore.
Never remove a screen by grabbing the frame in the center, because it’s the area most easily bent. Always use the tabs for screen removal. When tabs are missing it’s probably because the got brittle after 7 to 12 years and they came off. When you rescreen your frames you should get new tabs included with the job.
